The community diagnostic centres (CDC) will ensure that the clinical teams in our network have access to the imaging infrastructure they need to meet the increasing demands for imaging services.
The CDC programme will establish CDCs in north west London as suggested in Professor Mike Richards’ report: Diagnostics; Recovery and Renewal’ (2020).
The triple aim of the programme is to increase imaging capacity, improve population health and address health inequalities. As such, the programme is focussed on two of our most deprived areas:
- Neasden, Stonebridge, Harlesden, North Hammersmith & Fulham, North Kensington, Queen’s Park and Church Street; and
- Hanwell, Southall, Greenford.
The new centres are planned to open in the latter half of 2023.
