The North West London Health & Social Care Skills Academy, is proud to support our local people to access exciting, rewarding and fulfilling clinical support worker careers in the NHS.

We know that taking your first steps into a clinical support worker roles in the NHS can be daunting, and we recognise you may need additional support to be guided through what can be a complex system to navigate.

Our ‘NWL Academy recruitment hub’ is designed to support you in taking your next steps towards your NHS clinical support worker career. The hub is designed to inform you about our NHS clinical support worker roles available in North West London NHS Trusts, and feel fully prepared and confident in taking your next steps. The hub will give you access to North West London NHS vacancies which you have the opportunity to apply for when you are interview ready.

The hub offers everyone the opportunity to explore different clinical support worker roles and areas within employers across North West London.. We have some great roles available – these currently include:

The hub is designed to support those new to the NHS (sometimes referred to as ‘entry-level positions’).  Whilst we won't be able to guarantee you a specific job, it will put you in a strong position to apply for positions and showcase your skills to potential to North West London NHS employers.

Step 2 – Explore and prepare session

You will be invited to attend an online ‘explore & prepare’ session.  Here you will explore ‘a day in the life of a clinical support worker’ and learn more about our NHS Trusts. We will be able to talk to you about the benefits of working in the NHS in North West London and advise you of next steps and additional support on offer via the hub. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask any questions throughout the session.

Step 3 – Interview selection day

You'll be invited to join us for an in-person assessment day! This is your chance to meet our team and showcase your skills through engaging activities. Successful candidates will be considered for roles across North West London NHS Trusts

After the interview selection day

Getting to know you at the assessment day allows us to personalise the process. We're committed to finding the right role for your unique talents and career aspirations, and our transparent process ensues everyone is given you clear feedback from the selection day. As a next step you will be either put forward for interview with a local NHS Trust,  invited to one of our clinical support worker skills readiness boot camps , or signposted to one of our North West London partners for additional support.
