Venue: Parkview Centre for Health and Wellbeing, 56 Bloemfontein Road, White City, London, W12 7FG
Inviting H&F residents to get involved in the Dying Matters Awareness Week event.
Information Stalls in the Atrium – Join representatives from the NHS, Adult Social Care, Hospices, Carers Network, End of Life Doula UK and Local Support Networks. Find out more about end of life care in our community; and discuss how and where we provide care for patients and their families, when they need it most.
There will be a dedicated space for people to come together for:
A Tailored Workshop on “Power of Planning Ahead” - 10:30 to 11:30am
In this workshop we will explore individual choices when it comes to future care, known as Anticipatory/Advance Care Planning and the power that comes with making a plan. This will be an interactive workshop and people will have opportunities to share their thoughts if they wish and information about the tools one can use to make a plan.
Compassionate Conversations – 11:30am to 1pm
An opportunity for all the visitors to have one to one conversation with our expert hosts or come together in small groups to talk about death, dying and grief.
We will also be providing refreshments at the event. Feel free to pop in and take a look at the wealth of information and support available.
Walk-ins welcome or book your free tickets online in advance at Eventbrite.
