Co-production courses

Our health equity co-production courses and resources focus on building the confidence to build co-production into their project work and champion the need for co-production with colleagues and partners.

They provide a foundation-level understanding of:

  • what co-production is, what it isn't and how it can help to reduce inequalities
  • approaches to engagement with communities to develop co-production plans
  • how co-production can enable, benefit and enhance your work

Description - Free resources on co-creation and co-production, particularly targeted at PCNs but more widely applicable. Modules 3 and 4 are also suitable for cohort 2 (advanced). 

Who this is for - Primarily targeted at primary care staff groups but relevant for other health and care sector staff looking to develop skills and knowledge in co-creation and co-production.

Providerb - NHS England

Description - This programme is for citizens rather than health and care professionals. The programme has 3 key aims:                                                    

  1. To share with people what personalised care is and how people in England can benefit
  2. To develop new Peer Leaders who can support the development of personalised care
  3. To develop Peer Leader Facilitators to provide leadership and support to Peer Leaders

Who this is for - Citizens who are interested in being involved in health and care service design, with a focus on personsalised care.

Expected outcomes for people who attend these courses and use these resources:

  • To be able to deliver co-production as part of your work and ensure it has an impact on outcomes
  • To have the skills, capabilities and confidence to deliver co-production at specialty or programme level
  • To be able to lead on the strategic development and delivery of co-production across NW London or within a Borough team, ensuring that this is embedded as a tool for delivery
  • To be able to draw upon and work with grass roots community organisation, or those who have a particular stake or interest in the area seeking to be produced
  • To be able to work with system partners to maximise the potential for synergy
